Horrific experience. Wish I had seen previous reviews. Called and asked for a quote for moving. They came and looked and said they didn't think they could fit everything in one of their large vans so just to be safe I should maybe move a car load. Four car loads later and completion day arrives. A small transit style van arrives with not a hope of fitting everything in. We completed our house sake and purchase and they still hadn't loaded all our belongings and so moved them to the path !!! A second van arrived after some stern words. They took an age to unload. All in all very stressful, unprofessional and horrific experience.
Phoned and asked it they can pick up 2 sofa's on same day. I was told they could and would phone me when they looked in their diary to let me know what time. They never phoned back, two phone calls later they told me it would be 6:30-7:00. I said that I would check that was ok and would call them right back. On phoning back several times my call was never answered and never got a call back. On reading the other reviews on here I would steer clear of old git removals!
I booked the Canterbury branch of this company for a house move and have never experienced such an appalling service in my life. House moving is stressful enough but these Old Gits really lived up to their name.They turned up at 10.00am on the morning of my move with a small yellow van despite me having e-mailed a full list of my furniture with dimensions and no. of boxes etc. to the brother of one of them who was setting up the arrangements beforehand on their behalf. They were completely ill-equipped and unprofessional, pretended they were going outside for a cigarette and then drove off. If it had not been that my buyers were so accommodating I would have been in dire straits. As it was, I was moved the following day by Ilias from man and a Van, based in Littlebourne who undertook my move with efficiency, courtesy, promptness and complete professionalism for half their quoted cost.
